Thank you to Creative Child Learning Center Coral Springs-Parkland for choosing Unicorn Children’s Foundation to benefit from their annual Art Night! We were proud to donate a Creating Compassionate Children toolkit to the school so that every child can #GetCaughtBeingKind !

This is a a character development curriculum designed to help students create a culture of understanding, acceptance, inclusion, and respect by encouraging meaningful change in preschool and elementary school classrooms. In doing so, we can foster caring peer support and eliminate bullying.

The Unicorn Children’s Foundation held the 2019 Community Inclusion Awards on Friday, November 22, 2019 at Boca West Country Club which happened to coincide with the Foundation’s 25th Anniversary and rebrand launch. The day was officially proclaimed the 25th Anniversary of Unicorn Children’s Foundation by Vice-Mayor of Palm Beach County, Commissioner Robert Weinroth during the event. These unsung heroes were recognized for their efforts at building a better and more inclusive community for individuals with special needs and their families. Nearly 100 nominations were received in 14 categories. The finalists were announced on October 24th at a VIP Announcement Party sponsored by the Wyndham Deerfield Beach. .

Our Junior Board Member and Unicorn Children’s Foundation Ambassador, Dominique Rivera was the Emcee of the Florida State Pageant this past weekend. During the photo shoot afterwards, she handed out our #GetCaughtBeingKind bracelets to all of the contestants. She is offering a scholarship to the title holder that posts herself the most wearing the bracelet and includes the hashtag. The contest is over on May 1st. Good luck to all of the contestants and thank you to Dominique for spreading awareness and kindness!!

On November 5, 2019, the Board of County Commissioners recognized the work being done by Unicorn Children's Foundation, as it celebrates its 25th Anniversary on November 22, 2019.

Unicorn Children's Foundation was established to affect worldwide change through a coordination of efforts among professionals, parents and policy makers so that every child with a communication, developmental or learning disorder is given the greatest opportunity to reach his or her full potential.

The BCC went on to recognize the UCF for afforesting cradle to career pathways for the one in five children who are diagnosed with communication, developmental or learning disabilities and providing support to their families.

What a fabulous time at our Junior Board’s first hosted event, Strikes and Spooks for Special Needs!!! Thank you to everyone who came out to change the lives of kids and young adults with neurodiversity!!! A special thank you to Nicole LaRosa of Readings by Nicki for donating the proceeds of her tarot card readings to Unicorn Children’s Foundation! Congratulations to the all of the winners of the awesome prizes generously donated by Angela Fisher!

On March 7, 2020, The Unicorn Children’s Foundation will host its 25th Anniversary Royal Ball at the Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa in Manalapan, Florida. Proceeds of the evening will go towards funding our Unicorn Connection Center which will house Unicorn Children’s Foundation’s offices, culinary and vocational training facilities, and of course our Special Percs Café.

Kodi Lee, the winner of Season 14 of America's Got Talent, will be performing live at the event. This 22-year-old pianist and singer is blind and has autism.

We are so excited to announce the Game On Race Events Strides for Special Needs benefiting Unicorn Children's Foundation!! This is our very first 10K and 5K Run/Walk! This event is fun for the whole family, and we can't wait to see every one of you out there "taking steps" to help kids with special needs.
